"Great, classic breakfast. Bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast, coffee. The building is pretty old, but kept up enough and decorated with lots of fun old stuff."

"The walk into the restaurant is very dated, with the restaurant on one side, bar across in another room, beer vendor as you enter. It has its charm in the restaurant, high ceilings, retro collectibles and pictures. The food is old style cafe quality, you get a lot, for a margin of the price, you would pay at a chain restaurant. Hash browns, you can get cubed or shredded with grilled onions, choice of toast. They have daily specials for breakfast/lunch, and a soup of the day. If you have never went to the "oldie", you should. Service is great, staff helpful."

"Very good diner style food joint. They definitely offer the best breakfast of any of the restaurants in town! It can get busy in here, but what does that tell you? Usually open for breakfast and lunch only. Located right inside the Gimli "oldie" Hotel. Owned & run by hard working locals. Stop in here first if you're looking for a good "home cooked" meal. They aren't a high end bistro but more of a greasy spoon, so some people need to temper their expectations. These types of restaurants unfortunately seem to be a dying breed. Get out there & support them!"

"Came for breakfast, my mom goes for coffee often as it’s open early so we thought we’d try breakfast. Food was good. Plenty to share with my two kiddos. Definitely dated but that’s part of it’s charm. Washrooms are upstairs where the hotel rooms were, my daughter thought that was cool. Waitress was very nice and even brought us a jug of water since a few of us ordered water on top of beverages, it was a hot day."
